Welcome to Casabuilders! Casabuilders is a growing "family" of volunteers joyously giving
of their time and abillities to build homes for poor families in
Tijuana, BC, Mexico. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, Casabuilders has volunteers
from all over the state! Church groups from Stockton, San Diego, Malibu, and
all over the SF Bay area are joining us on our 4-day and 5-day house-building
adventures.
Building Homes for Needy Families in Mexico
Here in the United states, we have so much and we're thankful for so little.
In Tijuana, many people attempt to find work in the border factories, but cannot.
There is no government system to aid them. No food stamps, no welfare- they
are on their own. They attempt to buy used pallets, or old wooden garage doors
to fabricate a house. Used wooden doors and dirt floors only last a short while
and offer little protection from the elements and very little security.
Casabuilders can provide these families with a 2 bedroom house, complete with
concrete floor, wood-framed walls, windows, door, electrical circuitry, a shingle
roof and even a loft above the bedrooms. These homes are built completely free
of charge to the Mexican families.
Our hearts have been filled with passion to share the love of Jesus Christ
with these dear families and we'd love for you to be a part of this incredible
ministry adventure. An often-recurring phrase I hear again and again on our
trips is, "I was blessed far beyond the Mexican family that received the
house!"
